Cavendish's home was in fact was originally two separate domiciles. When Cavendish's father Charles Cavendish (1704-1783), who was recently widowed, moved into his house at the corner of Great Marlborough Street and Blenhem Street, he bought two properties for himself and his son Henry Cavendish (the discoverer of hydrogen). The father Charles moved into the house fronting Great Marlborough Street; the son Henry moved into the back house up Blehhem. The Cavendishes lived here 1738-1783. See next photo for identifications.
